LONDON (Reuters) – England are expected to leave early in the European Championship when they take on Croatia at 9:15 in the Croatian city of Regga on Wednesday.
Spain are top of Group D with 6 points from two matches, while England and Croatia are still without points from a single game.
England have lost their first match at Wembley in the English capital London against Spain 2-1, before they face Croatia and Spain on Monday to finish their group stage against Croatia on November 18 at Wembley.
England coach Gareth Southgate is aware that the defeat in the match could eliminate the hopes of the “three lions” to climb to the semi-final of the European Championship.
England are also seeking revenge against Croatia after the 3-point Black lost 1-0 after extra time in the semi-finals of the World Cup in Russia.
English Premier Mark Klatenberg has been delighted that there are no fans in his country’s squad against Croatia in the Group Stage of the League of Nations.
This came in a newspaper column written by Kaltenberg for the Daily Mail, in which he stressed that the masses of Croatia have a very special character.
“I know perfectly well how the fans of Croatia can look dangerous,” Kaltenberg wrote. “I was there trying to cancel a match against the Czechs by throwing fireworks on the pitch.”
Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose has withdrawn from England’s squad against Croatia and Spain in the League of Nations due to injury, the English Football Association said on Thursday.
The English federation described Rose’s injury as “simple,” saying he would return to Tottenham immediately. Other left-back Luke Shaw withdrew from Gareth Southgate’s squad on Monday for an undisclosed injury.
Rose has played six games with Tottenham in the Premier League this season. His last appearance
in a 1-0 victory over Cardiff City on Saturday was replaced by near the end of the match, and Southampton goalkeeper Alex McCarthy was absent from England’s injury.
The match starts at 7.45pm BST , TV channel is Sky Sports Main Event from 7pm or Sky Sports Football from 7.30pm. Or you can watch highlights on ITV 1 at 10.45pm.
